MedjetAssist is an air medical transport membership. If your client becomes hospitalized while traveling more than 150 miles from home (including ANY DOMESTIC trips) and he/she requires further inpatient care, Medjet will pay and arrange for medical transport back to the hospital of your client’s choice in his/her home country – regardless of medical necessity. Unlike standard travel insurance medevac benefits—which typically require medical necessity and limit transport to the “nearest acceptable facility”—Medjet is a membership, not an insurance policy, and transports members to the hospital they choose at home, even when evacuation is not deemed medically necessary.
